Hello everybody,
I plan on going to Toronto sometime this summer.
I'm looking at either July 26th or 27th, which is saturday or sunday.
I have no knowledge of Toronto though, so I wouldn't know where to meet.
I'd basically be going there by train from Montreal.
DATE/TIME: Saturday July 26th, 1PM.
LOCATION: Union Metro Station - Cafe Toronto in front of the Skywalk

Ironically, even though toronto/GTA is the most populated and urban area of canada...
I think the only active "spinners" are myself, and firebird..
Now a gathering with just us three..would that work? To tell you the truth, even if it is us three, I don't think I would go since the age contrast between myself and you two is just too big =|
I've always been down for a gathering, but its so hard to find people who live around me. that's why i'm always trying to find more ontario/toronto pen spinners.. -

Forget that man. Sharing company with those older than yourself is a great experience. You're a smart kid and you'll probably get along fine. Plus, how often do you get the chance to meet someone who shares such a rare hobby? You are lucky to be given the chance and should take it. -

I said Union Station is a good meeting spot because anyone with access to the Go-Train (gray line on that map) can travel directly there. Go Transit covers quite a few cities in the GTA.

Ah, if I was driving I could have picked you up on the way (I live in Waterloo). I can probably attend this until about 6 pm until I have to leave to go to my grandmother's memorial. We have to decide whether to meet at a store underground or at street level somewhere.

Yes it does, but the skywalk is pretty long, so how about right in front of the skywalk entrance? There's a little stand there called "Cafe Toronto". Here's what I'm talking about:

From Union station you head West and you'll reach the skywalk. -

Yeah, I'm still awaiting conformation from Zbo, so don't set your schedules just yet. We may be able to push the start time back to about 1:30 pm and have it run to around 5:00 pm since some people eat early dinners.
Also, when I was searching GO Train schedules, I noticed that a lot GO Train lines don't operate on weekends, unfortunately. Although, buses may still run.

Ah yeah, true. Some people might have to use a TTC bus to get to a TTC subway station, but at least they run on weekends.
I think Zbo will leave his contact information in this thread so you can call him if you get lost on your way there or are going to be late. But if you are on the confirmed list, you should also PM Zbo your cell # (if you have a cell). You don't have to be on the confirmed list to attend, but if you aren't we won't be waiting for you if you happen to be late and not call (because we won't know you're attending). -

Hey guys. I had a lot of fun and was surprised everyone had showed up by 12:55. I filmed a bit but it's 1.8 GB because it's uncompressed. I would have liked to film more, like us walking outdoors, but I ran out of space on my SD card. I'm not so great at editing though and would rather have someone else edit if possible. We can also send someone the pictures and they can make an online album? Anyone interested in either editing or making the album?
P.S. I didn't get everything on film btw, like Zbo's basketball spin and some of the pens he presented. -
