- There is a scoring board of a certain height, specified in the round. Each player submits a single PM with the height of where they want to place their tack on the board. Once everybody has sent their pm, the results are revealed. Each person scores the distance between his/her own tack and the next lowest tack. If you're the lowest tack, you score the distance between your tack and the bottom of the board. If multiple persons place their tack at the same height, both their tacks "fall off" the board and they score 0.
i.e.: Board is of length 0-100. Bob places at 50, Carl 38, John at 75, Mary at 75, Suzie at 100. Carl scores 38 points (38-0), Bob scores 12 (50-38), John and Mary score 0, Suzie scores 50 (100-50).
Board length may change every round. At the end of each even-numbered round, the person with the less cumulative score is eliminated. On odd-numbered rounds, there might be special events/rules. Winner is the last person standing.
Number of players: 6-10
Comments: Nice game which is part luck, part bluff, part teamwork.
i'm going to add more rules after.
-you can not change your mind and ask to change your height
-you can communicate with each other using PM or this thread
-you must send your pm with the title "Thumbtacks - Round {x}" if you do not send the pm with correct round, it will not be counted

ok then I think there's a huge advantage to staying, depending on the results of round 3...
if we're doubling, this has the greatest advantage for the ppl who gained al ot of points in this round, cuz they're gonna get even more.
if the majority of ppl didnt get a lot of points, IMO it's better to vote stay, cuz the other rich dudes will try to double and they'll get 0, so it's better that way and allow the poor dudes to catch up. -

what are you talking about, if you didn't get many points this turn, you should STAY! because doubling will much more beneficial for the guy with 18 than the guy with a lowly 3, for instance. -

uhh... explain me - how it's possible? Sum of all points = 73. That means highest tack was placed on 73 (from those, who got points). If Zombo placed higher, then it means he has 0. I still believe someone of you 2 is bluffing.

- First you place your thumbtack on the scoreboard
- I'll only reveal the points only but however this time, you will be told your own point
- When you get your point, and see the list of points i reveal, you have to attack a point
To attack:
- You have to choose who, and how many times you want to attack
- Every attack, you -1 the point of person you attacked but you also -1 yourself
- You attack with this round's points, therefore you cannot attack more than the points you have this round
EG.
i get 10 points this round.

i choose to attack 14 twice.
14-2 = 12
10-2 = 8
Elimination: lowest total points
