What does a "display name" actually represent.
I changed mine to my preferred name " nathan" (someone had already taken "nathan"), but I don't see where the change has taken effect. What is a display name? -

no I don't think you submitted your change. in fact you just said someone took nathan, then it must mean your own change was rejected.

when you check someone's profile, you can view their name history.

your title will change from "newcomer" to "member" once you have enough.

What would happen if somebody changed their display name to a previous display name of another person. Say I changed my name to UnEmploymentDude?
I wasn't planning to do that, but I'm just curious.

that would be very misleading for trading reasons, but at least you can always check one's "name history" by going into their profile.

Can someone post when your "Newmember" status goes up to Member and what are all the other Status'?
Also how do you change the thing, for example Zombo's is "Moderator of DOOM!" .. -

Oh right thanks. I assume you get the custom title taken away for impersonating moderators or admins? Or not cause there is a Group right below.
There is a duplicate thread in Board Comments. I'm not trying to Moderate, but would this be the right SubForum for this thread? (I'm new)
