learning one trick, did you accidentally unlearn another?
hmmmmmmmmmmmm, I think I didn't "unlearn" a trick but sorta lost the feel for it, had to get it back(can't remember trick) -

Basically.
I realized bakfall wasn't very useful and that I wasted 2 weeks on it, so I haven't done it in a while and now I can do it like 5%. -

Upon changing to MSXA, I unlearned Cont PinkyBak 1.5. Never been able to learn it again either due to lack of motivation.

Yep, happened to me.
This was a while ago anyways. I "unlearned" Sonic. I didn't have motivation to learn it again and then my friend told me how the trick worked. From then I understood where I went wrong and corrected the mistake and learned the trick again! =O -

You can pwn Cloud Traveler with that trick. Why don't you practice it again?

If I really have learnt something, I don't forget it. It will get sloppier, but after like an hour of spinning everything is just back to the way it used to be.
Tricks that I haven't completely learned yet will go down quick. -

When I first learned charge I temporarily unlearned the sonic. and my shadow 12-12 has gotten sloppy from not using it.

If you dont use it, you lose it. I've had this happen to me with guitar, when i cant remember how to play a song. I've had it with skateboarding where i just cant do trick that i used to be really good at. I've have yet to have that happen to me with spinning. I spin everyday though.
I do find that there are certian times during the day where i'm better, like after lunchtime i am really good, but before that..horrible. Its good to warmup for a few hours i think.
I dont know if anyone here has ever been to a skatepark where little kids are able to pull of tricks really really well, but as they grow they get all wonky and have a hard time working with their newly grown bodies. I've seen kids that are really sick at pulling off tricks, get really really terrible at skating.
I know this isnt about skateboarding but i think it follows the same rules. -

I had that same problem with the twisted sonic...
I would conciously think "Okay, I need to move my index finger up now, to do a sonic" and would prepare for a good 3 seconds, but end up doing a twisted sonic anyway. -

you're kidding right?
fingerpass is the easiest fundamental to understand, it belongs to the "easy to learn, hard to master". -

Hmm. I think I know what you mean... If you don't do Fingerpass for a little while it gets so much slower. I think in that way you quickly 'forget' how to move your fingers fast enough.

I learned twisted sonic before i learned the sonic so no problems there. when i learned the sonic though i couldnt do twisted sonics at all for like a day. Thats the reason why i put my whole database of spinning into my idle spinning combos. lol i do sonics fingerpasses TA extended double continouous, bust all that good stuff.
