Battlezone / New Game

If you like it, great. If not, fine.

    The first member to post a video of the specific combo wins.

    The winner then posts (or edits) with a new combo, for OTHERS to challenge.

    "Combos" can be no more than five moves long, disregarding original fundamentals (i.e., they can be part of the combo, but won't count towards the five move limit). twisted sonics and other hybrids count.

    They are meant to be of reasonable difficulty, so keeping the other players in mind, don't make them too long and full of fundamentals, or too short but impossibly hard. Bakfalls will count as 2 (more or less pending feedback).

    Try to have fun. If no one participates, fine. If it takes off, sweet! Or if you have improvements to offer to the rules, post in this forum.

    I will start the first challenge:

    Perform and film a:

    Warped Sonic Rev 12 - 23 -> Twisted Sonic Rev 23 - 34 -> PinkyBak.

    GO!!

    EDIT: They're meant to be smooth combos. So try not to cheat by pausing for a second and a half after every move. biggrin.gif

    I would play, if the combo was easier.

    kinda crappy and I went off cam sorry, but it was late and I didn't want to set up an angle.

    Fingerpass -> Pass 12-T1 -> FL TA Reverse -> Shadow Reverse 12-23 -> Shadow 23-34 -> Neobak 34-34 -> Shadow 34-12

    edit: made it easier

    So its just a really big game of Tak on without rules?

    No its not a tack-on. A tack-on requires you to add a trick to the combo.

    This game is pretty similar to Erirornal Kraione's The Copy Combo Game which has died out.

    eh, changed the breakdown

    Hmmm... I think the rules should be changed.

    You must stay below a point value of 10, with various tricks assigned different point values based on their difficulty (ranking 1 through 5.)

    Fundamentals and their reverses are worth 1 point.

    Twisted Sonics and other hybrids, 2 points.

    Around tricks (IA, MA, RA, PA) 3 points. These include baks.

    Shadows and NeoBaks are worth 4 points (I find them difficult) pending feedback.

    5 points = ?

    Discuss.

    Twisted Sonics are as easy as Fundies. Arounds/Backarounds and Shadows are somewhat equal in difficulty.

    I say.

    Fundies = 1 Pt
    Advanced = 2 Pts
    Hybrids = Varies depending on the hybrid (Prob 2 ish pts)
    Mini-Combo = 3 Pts
    Aerials = 2 Pts

    Oh, I say that you have to reach a certain amount of pts to win.

    You can just say all Aerials are worth 2 points... Infinity Release is a lot harder than a BakRiser, for example.

    You can't just say all tricks are 'advanced' because something like a Backaround is A LOT easier than a Spiderspin 1.5 which is lots easier than a Thumbspin Reverse 2.0.

    I don't think this points based system would work. However, it might be a good idea, for the first few combos of the game to keep the combos fairly easy to do, until there are a few people actively playing.

    Perhaps the most points within a certain trick limit? With specific restrictions to keep the game balanced for everyone.

    "...However, it might be a good idea, for the first few combos of the game to keep the combos fairly easy to do, until there are a few people actively playing."

    I have to agree with Mats there.

    I suppose multiple spin tricks should have their own category. Forgot about them. Cont tricks and spin tricks can be given pts based on the number of rotations perhaps?

    I'm not sure how hard spider spins and thumbspin revs are as I do them a lot.
