Manipulative Arts / Origami anyone ?

so anyone interested in origami?? cuz i am. i don't rly know if it is a manipulative art but in fact your manipulating a piece of paper into something almost organic here are some samples from me ( i folded them real quick so they are kinda ugly except for the swans) i can post more if you want me to

those last two were amazing
how many sheets of paper did you use for those last two xDD
my brother can make those ninja stars...i can make paper airplanes.... that's about it xDD -

those last 2 took about 10 hours each and were made from 500 little triangles
i can also make a sabertooth tiger from one sheet of paper and other dragons and such but like i said i folded them rly quick so they are kinda ugly -

I used to be into origami back in middle school. I never did those really intricate stuff though and I only really liked using just 1 sheet of paper. Where did you get the instructions for the paper rose and swan?

HELL YEAH! I loved to do this when I was bored during my senior year. I would get 1x1 inch gum wrappers, fold swans(because thats all I remember how to do) then just leave them on my desk for the next person.

well i only did the modular swans to experiment, but normally i only use one sheet of paper aswell.
i got the swan from youtube, yes youtube sounds lame i know, the swan is rly easy aswell but its very time consuming
the rose i got from just searching on google, its the trickiest rose i know to fold, took some time to understand the diagram for it, if you want the diagram for it just send me a message, now i'm going to make a 134 step sabertooth tiger -

Haven't watched the videos yet, will do though.

patte, how do you make the wings on the swan curve up so much? My wings extend out too much and there's a really big gap between them.

i do origami only from a single piece of paper
me and my friends stopped though... because when we were in year 9, there was a spare locker to put all the origami in but now we're in year 11 in a different campus, we have no spare locker to put the origamis so we stopped. but that doesn't mean we forget how to make this and that xD -

just mold the wings with ur hands, i mean its all kinda loose so you should be able to curve the wings by pushing in the center so you'll get a nice curve -

I love origami! I like to just mess around with different folds too, just to see what I get. Sometimes I end up with pieces of paper so worn they practically fall apart in my hands. Does anyone else have any original designs? How did you make them? Are there any base folds you like to use? I'll probably post some of my original flower designs later

umm... i usually consider origami the folding of paper which requires no glue... or cutting o.O -

It's is easy too make that Gundam the only problem is time what u need is:
+kit:search on google something like this :"papercraft kit SD gundam".
+glue:any glue that u want but remember it have to be good.
+scissor.
+some crayon or water color: u can see that that Gundam have too much white edge use the crayon too color it before glue.
