Hello Everyone and welcome to the R-Stic Tutorial!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This Is my second tutorial released by me
This mod was created by Mr. LSC from PenDolSa but this Is my way of making it. Im not sure how he makes It because I have never had one before to reverse engineer. The length comes up a bit short wut whatever, at least I can say "close enough".
Stats:
Length- 20.7 cm
Weight- MX like
COG=COP
so let us begin
What You'll Need:
1 Bic Round Stic
2 Bic Ultra Round Stic Grips
2 Papermate profiles/anyball/SGM
2 G-3 Tips (can be subbed with signo or something similar*)
Step 1: Disassemble pens and keep these parts
Step 2: Put an outsert on the Bic Round Stic Barrel
Step 3: Put the parts of the Ultra round stic grips onto the Round stic barrel
Step 4: Wrap some teflon tape on the ends for the tips to screw onto and put a tiny bit of tape on the grip part of the ultra round stic grip so you dont see the pattern under the grip (* If you subbed the tips, You may need to cut off a bit of the ultra round stic grip ends so they go down more)
Step 5: Screw the tips to the ends
Step 6: Add grips
And voilà ! You just made an R-Stic!
FINISHED PRODUCT:

This is the tutorial for an r stic twist. I dont have any pictures but i have a video. Dont mind the titles at thhe beginning. i really didnt know the name at the time >.<
Ok materials are:
1 bic round stic
2 bic round stic grip pens
2 pentel twist erase 3 mechanical pencil
Ok so this pen is like the R-stic except with subbed parts. And its a lot heavier. exact grams idk.
length: 23.25 cm
CoG=CoP
The pen costs about 13$. thats how much it cost me anyways. If you go to a staples or something right before school it should cost you no morethen 6-8$ to make.(what i mean is BACK TO SCHOOL SALE). All the pens\pencils should be easily found in america, just go to office depot or staples. Now to start the tutorial.
1. Get your round stic. take the ink tube out and get the back cap thing or whatever it is off. I used a metal chopstick and pushed it through. You should have an empty bic round stic tube.
2. Grab the 2 bic round stic grip pens and take the ink tubes out. thats all youll need from them. the ink tubes.
3. grab the ink tube part of the pen. just pull it off.(this willl keep it frop bursting.)
4. Insert the ink tubes into the bic round stic tube.
5. Get the pentel twist erases and take the tip off and the grip off. *TIP* dont squeeze on the grip when takin it off grab hold of it, and twist it while pulling it off. DONT SQUEEZE IT.
6. push the grips on both sides of the bictory. Push it in enough so that you can see the clear\white plastic on the writing part.
7. Screw the metal tips from the pentel twist erases on the ends. it should just screw on no tape\glue\etc needed. its pretty firm. unless you drop it a lot.
This should all take about 5-8 minutes if you do it right. watch the video tutorial. And if you're wondering what the weight is compared to a KT idk. see for yourself, i dont have a KT =[. But the tips are about 3/4 of a dr grip tip. and the grips are heavier then the tip so it might be heavier.this is definitely one of the heavier mods. and less expensive too.
pros and cons:
pros: simple to make, sort of cheap, heavy(depends on teh spinner if this is good or bad lol), the weight is concentrated on teh ends so good momentum
cons: mech pencil tip= sharp, bursts if you dont take the ink tube out (occasionally), the mod is too long?(give me your opinions on this one plz lol), the grip feels kind of wierd.
more cons then pros=[. but i like this mod. my favorite atm =DDD. oh and btw could someone actually MAKE this and compare it to a kt? thx >.< -

wow, very easy to make, but where can I get an insert and/or what size? =]
-
Date: Sun, Jul 20 2008 00:27:30
This is almost exactly the same as my Bictory SF mod. But mine is better. See my sig. I posted this a long time ago. the only difference, is the sticker and that mine can write.
-
Date: Sun, Jul 20 2008 05:51:40
... Thats just an r-stic with subbed parts... I there is no point of creating a tut... Well just wait till the mods come then...
Btw, I think if u can use the pencil mechanism of the twist erase, u can create a mech. pencil r-stic. -

The PDS R-stic is a million times heavier and it is made with different parts and different pens so really no comparison. R-stic is just generic name for how it looks i guess
-

can you tell us how the pds one is made? or just the parts used maybe? a heavier one would be nice.

Couldn't find G3 tips so I used signo like you suggested but it wont screw on. Theres some sings for the springs from it that block it. So I just pushed the profile grips over them, it works but the tips wiggle around.
-
Date: Sat, Oct 4 2008 21:14:01
schlynn, you can try to tape the tip if using teflon tape does work, or use super glue.
-

As suggested already, you can use teflon or glue. However, if you are using the correct signo tips, there shouldn't be any kind of spring.

is round stic same as round stic ns fine?
-
Date: Thu, Feb 19 2009 15:32:00
I love this mod mine is just a little different. I used the barrel from a round stic grip instead of the plain round stic and put the G2 grips on the bic caps, added some profile segments for weight, and put the tips inside the caps. Same idea but if you drop it the tips won't some flying off.

The one I got from Penwish had an outsert. I think I liked it better. Without the outsert it was a bit too slippery for me. I would suggest the outsert. -

i've got one PDS one's not sure how to make, but the body is made of metal(not kidding) and after i reverse engineering it, the body is a metal tubing which you can bought from some hardware store and just painted it(color version) or adding outsert(outsert version) ,and the strange tips?uhh i dont know what are they....

You could probably sub them with other metal tips, Signo tips works well and are about the same as a G3 tip. -
Date: Mon, Nov 16 2009 16:06:55
signo and g3 don't work well. ZT tips or any tip that is tree shaped. male threads that is less wide than the widest section of the tip

can someone show me the link to the original PDS mod?(or a picture)

Date: Fri, Jan 8 2010 22:44:06
Hey, is there a way to make this a writable mod? Also, I think it would be to cut the profile grip down so it doesn't go past the ultra round hard grip. Then, sand the plastic that the ultra round grip lays on so that it spins when you spin the pen. That would look cool.
