Is peace truly attainable so long as free will exists? Replace "peace" with "equality": does the statement still hold true? Does it simply depend on the inherent nature of man? What are your thoughts?

    i dont think it is...
when people are equal eventually one will try to become superior to the others,
and someone cannot become superior without others becoming less and less important.
take the middle ages for example. the kings where wealthy because of the poor people.
the servants and slaves served the king. making them lower than the equilibruim and him higher...
    or something like that...

people are to greedy to police themselves and maintain peace.

    EDIT: spelling

There is no such thing as absolute equality- we're all born different and have different qualities.
If by equality you mean equal opportunities then it is possible but almost impossible as some do not want to be equally capable of achieving a certain thing and would like to get every edge there is.
About free will and peace, I didn't quite understand the question?
Are you referring to the latest situation where people are getting their rights diminished by the government in order to restore "peace" against enemies and terrorists?
Or am I completely off on this one?
