So i mainly created this thread to want to know ur secrets of buying pens. 1 of my secrets is to say what mod ur going to do with the pen really fast.
Example: mom can i buy this pack of rsvps because i ened to make an mx with these pens and i also need a g2 but im really nice so i think i should just buy the rsvp first so i dont spend so much money first but wait until next day to buy it.
then ur mom/dad is like in their mind "what the hell are u saying" and just buys it for me

I can't get my parents to buy me pens at all, even if it's for school (they just hand me a bic then). That's why I don't mod anymore and just use the mods I already have... it's sufficient. -

My mom actually yells at me now for buying pens, thats why she gives me those specialized, non-brand name pens, the ones that no one knows how to mod. Like...umm...pens that people give you at an office with names and logos. Not like "official" major-brand pen, pens.

my parents actually don't let me buy pens for spinning reasons. i actually have to buy them and sneak them in (smuggling?). My mom once caught me with bunch of cartoon comssa that i was modding and she threw them away. (luckily i found them in the garbage before it was too late)

srsly, i mean its your hobby not your parents, so you should buy your own pens. My parents dont really care but they get kinda pissed when theres a package of pens at the post office to pick up.

I'm going to college, and the only pen I will write with is gel pens, so I hit my mom up for $20 worth of g2 pens. I intend on using them until the ink runs out, and then I'll use them for mods.
I do the same thing to get rsvps. Any other pen I just look for sales and buy en masse.
Also, whenever I'm in Chinese restaurant I look for g2s, rsvps, or anything else useful. I leave a bic and take the rsvp/etc. You'd be amazed at how many restaurants have rsvps! -

Pretty much the same for me. Im not even gonna try to ask if I can get something on the internet or trade, my Dad thinks EVERYTHING will give a computer a Virus. So I dont even bother asking to buy online from him for anything. Actually, my Mom likes to buy online, but I dont think she.... 'likes' penspinning. She doesnt really like me playing games all the time, so I try PSing. I actually practice a couple hours a day and she actually gets frusterated because I am almost always carrying my "modded" double-sided colored pencil that I just BARELY was able to get from Daiso(new Japanese Imports Store).
Anyway, the way I got to get it:
Me: Can we go to Office Max for some pens?
Mom:No, its too far away. And why would you want to go there anyway?
Me: *shows her a couple of Fundamentals* Penspinning.
Mom:No
Me: How about Daiso, please. Its on the way
Mom:Fine, 10 minutes, dont try to get too much
Me: Thanks
And I got my first Spinning.. thingy. I accidentally got RETRACTABLE Rsvps. I dont know anything to do with these, the Clicking thing on the back wont come out either. It looks like a cool pen, so I will use it for now.

My family has no credit card and I'm unemployed. I'll have to ask my uncle to use his credit card and also ask my mum if I can get 50 NZD worth of pens from Penwish for Christmas! I hope this works.. -

I've gone to private schools all my life, and all of my friends, that's highly unlikely.
I just show them the mod I want to make, then ask to order the parts. I make sure to get good deals and stuff, and if its such a good deal they'll let me get it easily. Example, we went to staple and showed how Anyballs are around $3 for 4 pens then I show how its $15 for 45 on ebay, now I have all I'll ever need.
For Comssas I buy some from Korean exchange students who make up like 1/5th of my school.
HGGs I can get because I tell them I want it and its discontinued.
RSVPs are available here and VERY cheap, popular pen in school too.
G2s are the same
I buy the staples knock off of Signos, also very cheap.
Bics are $5 for 60...yeah, lol

whats this topic about? i've never got pens from my parents.
i think every normal ppl just go out in a store buy some pens.
there aren't so expensive pens you can't buy them from yourself.
even thou im not 18 i just made myself a paypal acc. so i can buy from penwish and trade international.
thats how it works. i got my money all together myself, i've never thought of abusing my parents to buy pens. -

I wait until I have to buy something, like on Saturday I wanted to buy the Orange Box for PC and since Gamestop, Walmart, Bestbuy, and Office Max are all around the same area, I told my dad if we can go by Office Max so I can buy some pens.
Only thing is a lot of times he's really impatient so sometimes I'm in a hurry and something goes wrong (I got the wrong profiles before ><). -

im 2nd generation pen spinner in my family, my dad used to pen spin a bit (he knew basics) back when he was in highschool. and he understands me so he lets me buy pens for mods.
but he thinks modern ps in crazy after i showed him some vids of top spinners.
he said it changed ALOT over like 30 years xD -

I normally just ask my parents to buy the pen, plain and simple. Although, until now, I've never asked them for a pen or pens specifically for modding. Only my Dad really knows that I modify pens for spinning. My Mom just thinks I can spin any pen in existance. Haha. Pretty soon, I'm going to start asking my Dad to order online, but only the pre-modded stuff... I'm too lazy to make pens myself, and they're always alot better looking when they come pre-made. :> -

Well, apparently my dad get's these Officemax "10$ off on a purchase of 10 dollars or more!" Cards in the mail, so I take those, go to office max, and get like a pack of RSVP's and a ZT pack, so I end up paying like 2$ for a 12$ purchase. :]
For HGG's and crap, I wait til' one of my friends goes on a penwish spree, and I say to them "Hey, let me HELP you buy stuff so you get free shipping!" and then I tell them to add stuff to their cart, and I pay them for what I asked them to buy.
And so far, I've gotten tons of japanese pens and hgg's without actually going to the Penwish site. XD

probably because they don't want to get scammed or something...
i was talking to mum about credit and debit cards...
if you have a separate bank account, you can have a limited amount of money to spend since you only put the amount of money that is going to be spent (which greatly reduces scamming [unless you paid and they don't send it]) and use paypal as a method of paying which is debit card. and blah blah blah order off penwish and yay^^
