Wow, I dont know how everyone can say mhig had a smoother combo when his camera is so blurry. Dont get me wrong, Im not saying his combo was not smooth. Its just that its impossible to tell if it was actually smoother. mhig's combo began to bore me after a while. Finisher was good but nothing really stood out for me. I enjoyed xien's combo a lot more, especially the corkscrew~> Ma.5~> neosonic~>FLTA

I nulled before I watched the videos (yeah stupid..) but now that I've seen them I would've voted Xien. I don't see either what people are saying about mhig's smoothness, you can't really tell with that quality on the vid. Mhig, you really should try and keep the number of "boring" tricks in a combo down. Try new linkages between them instead, or doing something you're not used to, that way people won't get bored of just charge-passes.
Liked Xien's a lot more, a lot of sudden turns and complicated linkages. Near the end, you do some kind of bak -> charge -> bak (not sure what it was, and it won't let me play the video again right now) that I really liked. -

I agree. I liked the bak > charge > bak also. I've only seen that done by Kirua.

Even as pholord mentioned that mhig's camera was too blurry to see if his combo was smoother than Xien's, i think that anyone can depict that mhig was both faster and smoother (In my sole opinion)

But the difference is I don't really care what others think I should do in my combos. I like charge-passes. I love finishing my combo with just a ThumbAround, as long as I think it's good and fun. Here I am just giving feedback to the battlers. Even though I can't breakdown a combo upon seeing it, I think mhig included a lot of stuff that was just filling out space between the tricks. Everyone does that, but it was just something I noticed.
Now my combos aren't all "pretty much charge-passes" though, you'd just have to watch one of my recent ones to find out. There's a difference in which tricks you link and choose to call "charge-passes", you know.

OMFG what is this?!?!?! How can mhig lead in this poll? Xien's combo was better in all aspects. Only difficult thing that i see in mhig's combo is double bust, and maybe final of the combo. That's all. Xien do a lots of difficult tricks and linkages, so he win in difficulty without any chance for mhig. Xien's combo looks a lot more intresting for me, i see some unusual linkages, he use more different tricks and trick families than mhig and overall combo looks more unique and stylish than mhig's. In speed, execution and smooth both spinners show the same level, but Xien do a lot more difficult tricks than mhig, so he need more practice to mastered this aspect for his combo. mhig's combo is really boring. It's so repetitive, in all combos he use the same tricks and linkages, i didn't see nothing new in this combo. And mhig really need to buy new camera, this blurry effect prevents to see real smoothness.
I don't understand how so many people didn't see what pholord, sfsr and i write. Posts like: "mhig's combo looks more smooth for me" is unfounded, because mhig's combo only looks more smooth because of his camera. And smoothness is only one of the many different aspects of combo's judjing. I want to see an expanded response of someone, who votes for mhig.
P.S. This battle is very good example, why i don't like public votes. mhig will win this battle only because he is well known in this board. -

I have to agree with you on the inability of the public to judge a video and vote correctly. Most people are inexperienced and cannot analyze a combo properly, completely ignoring standard criteria (difficulty, smoothness, variety, execution. etc.) People will often just vote for the combo that looks "coolest" to them. Also people will just vote for their favorite spinner even if the other spinner was better. These are all problems with public voting and there pretty much no way around it unless you request judges. You can only hope people will think a little more before voting. -

It was just kind of unprovoked, since for a first I didn't even mean that mhig just did charge-passes (also, it was feedback on the battle, so I don't see why you should care about it?), for a second I don't even do just charge-passes anymore (at least in combos I work on), and for a third you go on to saying that I spam all tricks I do.

Rather, people should analyze a combo in parts then put them together to look at the combo as a whole but I get what you mean that people shouldnt watch a combo once and go "hey i think that one looked cooler" -
