    first, definition:

    QUOTE ("wiki")
A conspiracy theory attributes the ultimate cause of an event or chain of events (usually political, social or historical events), or the concealment of such causes from public knowledge, to a secret, and often deceptive plot by a group of powerful or influential people or organizations. Many conspiracy theories state that major events in history have been dominated by conspirators who manipulate political happenings from behind the scenes.

in what conspiracy theories do you believe? do you think conspiracies can be "useful/good"? do you think we're better off not knowing what's "really happening" ("ignorance is a bliss")?!

A lot of the 'popular' conspiracy theories are just clearly bullshit =/

But yeah a lot of shit goes on from intellegence agencies that people don't know about, but sometimes there will be a rumour here and there about what happened. The rumours are usually started by the agencies themselves and so are far from the truth.

people just try to come up with some "conspiracy theories" to sell loads of books, and then disappear :/
and most of those popular/modern aren't original, but are based on other works, and just paraphrased...

imo conspiracy theories are for entertainment, to see what kind of imagination people have.

I love conspiracy theories, for entertainment really most of them are just kinda meh but occasionally you get some good ones that have half an ounce of truth, if you like them I suggest checking out this place http://abovetopsecret.com/ good times, good times.

I believe poeple make up conspiracies because they are unable to face the reality of the situation. Because sometimes the truth is so devastating we'de like to believe its not real.

Conspiracy theories that have merit are those which are supported by compelling evidence. An example of this is 9/11, where the evidence forces us to, at the very least, consider alternative explanations of events. Other conspiracy theories are unsubstantiated, fanciful stories invented by people out of boredom and are treated mostly facetiously. Finally, there are theories that lack tangible evidence but are plausible, and one's interpretation of these depends upon one's beliefs. A cynical person might assert that political machinations are always taking place and the wealthy are pulling all the strings.

However, all conspiracy theories have the potential to erupt into scandals or stories of public malfeasance upon the discovery of irrefutable evidence. The Watergate scandal in the US in the 1970s would have been merely a conspiracy theory to the world had the government successfully covered it up.

In general, what i dont understand about those who support conspiracy theories, is those ridiculous "clues" they will come up with and include in their theory. I admit some of them are good, like the one with the JFK murder, where the bullet wounds doesnt seem to match up in line. But others are just so stupid like the one with the flag flapping on the moon, or the one with world trade center 7 looking like it is being professionaly demolished. Both can they easily be disproved with just little logic. And there are just so many of those stupid clues that the theorist just dont care to weed out in.

I have had so many dicussion with my big brother trying to convince him that the moonlanding actually did happen. Even though disprove all the clues he mentions, and tell him about moonstones and sensors left up there, he is just so stubborn and just wont listen, grr i hate it tongue.gif...

    LOL!

When the conspiracy theorists suggests things such as:

    QUOTE
"His argument focuses around NASA sending robot missions because radiation levels in space were lethal to humans

And there are people in space right now and we have had many people go into space and none of them have died due to radiation.

    QUOTE
William Brian believes that the astronauts may have used "a secret zero gravity device" derived from technology found on a "captured extraterrestrial spaceship

    rotfl.gif @ Mr. Brian.

Thanks for that link Simån it was hella entertaining!

what is just fucking annoying with conspiracies is that there's no proofs they're right, and no proof they're false.

But one thig is: CIA fuck a lot everywhere. I read a book, Legacy of Ashes, the history of CIA, by Tim Weiner, and a thing I learned is that CIA is a biiiig pile of shit. Zero efficiency. But they has verry much ressources, so they can spread shit everywhere on earth.

Another thing: Bankers control the world. Your'e a governement. You want to do soething, like reduce taxes, build thing, go in was, or anything, and you don't have money. You don't fuck around, you borrow money to the banks. But you don't care about giving back the money, you'l be replaced as your country's leader by someone else. But the bank wants his money back. And beacause 1st: you don't have money and 2nd: the banker is already influent, you obey the banker beacause if not he will use the influences he already have to pressure you.

This is the best one I've ever heard.

My Psychology teacher in Grade 11, believed that the United States Government was building a large gun above the atmosphere, over Florida.

I shit you not. This man actually believed it.

If anyone has heard of the Zeitgeist Movement, it has a lot of statements on Christianity(or any religion for that matter) being a branch of Egyptian sun worship, 9/11, and the American Federal Reserve in their movies. There is some pretty shocking things in those movies that will make you wonder if they really are true...

A lot of zeitgeist is wrong.
I think the moon landing/911 conspiracy theories are just stupid...

iv gotta say that the moon landing was real, they make some good points in the theories, but you can do that with just about anything, hell we have a physics teacher who disproved gravity lol
