I havent had any problems with my mx's, but one i gave my friend recently started leaking ink everywhere and it made a horrible mess. I took it back to replace the ink and within 5 minutes it was making a large puddle of ink on my desk. has anyone else had this problem or knows how to fix it? the ink comes form the back of the tube and pours out of the hgg tip. i widened the hole in the backcap, thought maybe too much pressure was causing it because his was a much tighter fit than mine(all 4 which have never had this problem). just hopin theres some fix to this problem

Take some super glue and squirt a bit down the back of the inktube.

I don't suppose that inktube had no glue inside it? Usually, I had problems with leaking ink when I was dealing with an inktube w/ no glue blocker and a tight fitting cap. I think when you push the pen into the cap w/ grip, air pressure causes the ink to leak. Now a days, I just remove the inktube before you push the pen into the cap w/ grip. Then unscrew it leaving the backcap inside the cap and insert your inktube and rescrew.

I find that if the ink hole is too tight it will leak. Or if you drop it too much. RSVP ink are sensitive to motion.

I usually just push some tissue (kleenex) into the back of the inktube as a precautionary to prevent leaking, though im not sure how well it works...never really tested it

I've had the same problem in the past. I do the same as K4S, and it seems to work very well. At least, no RSVP (or lakubo) inktube that I've stoppered with tissue has ever leaked. They will often stop writing if I spin them enough, and usually when that happens I'll just reverse the inktube.

If ink is coming out the correct end of the inktube then I don't know what to tell you. That's never happened to me. I'd suggest putting some superglue over the ballpoint and around it. Try to avoid excess residue, but make sure you cover the whole thing. That's just a guess though, I've never tried to stopper the front of an inkwell.

TOOTHPICKS FTW, just insert one into the open end of the ink tube and break off the exccess toothpick. o.o)b
