Hi @ all!
I hope this is the right forum for this. I don't know where to write this :/
As I surfed in the internet I found this: !CLICK!
And I looked for other Hall of Honor videos.
But there was no one for 2007 and 2008 o0
Idea:
We (The UPSB) could make the same!
We're looking for the best ten Pen Spinners in the World like
KTH
Eriror
Sfsr
Minwoo
Fratleym
...and so on
then, we could assort them and make a "The best Penspinners of 2008" video.
What about this idea? -

i am not sure how you would get all the pen spinners,
but it appears like a great idea!
you should start working on it right away!

Okay two problems and the first one alone kills it.
1) How do we decide who the top 10 in the world even are? Everyone will have different ideas on this. It cannot be done as things are now.
2) It's very difficult to contact all these spinners. You would probably need CrAsH to organise and he's a very very busy man. I doubt he would back this idea either.
Yeah this should be in major collabs section too. -

We could make a poll and the other best 5 spinners goes with them, too.
2) Why do we need crash to organize? I think we could talk about the editor and so on, later. but contacting these spinners will not be easy, because somebody will not believe in this idea or something. We need a spinner like Eriror who can make it...
And how to find these spinners is easy. I know where they are... ^.^

I tried to make a poll of who the best spinners were and it was locked. No-one will agree who the best spinners are. For instance, i have to disagree with your list, I would think Erirornal and Fratleym will probably make most people's top 10, however, Minwoo, KTH, sfsr? What about Kirua, Le0n, Tearyong, Banz, ChauTran, SEVEN, Nagi, Taru, KuZu, Bonito, Ayatori... etc

dude.. this won't work.
1. like mats said people have different point of view.
2. if you going to try the top 10 from the world. you can't just make a poll in UPSB. you need to make it in JEB, KPSA, FPSB, PDS etc.
3. that poll doesn't have all the candidates. it only has 20 people on in. and theres WAY more people who has potential to be top 10. eg. vicgotgame, Nory. Obviously you've selected YOUR opinion about top 20 so the selection is biased in the first place. -

A bigger poll means you have to restart all the voting, otherwise the voting is not fair.
You also need to run the exact same poll on all pen spinning forums.
Why is this in board comments when it's clearly a major collab discussion?

When you said "Hall of Honour" sorta sounds like your talking about deceased (sp?) ps'ers that were great. so that would just mean Bonkura?

although id like to see other people's opnions, i dont think its good to put them in a hall of honor. . its too bias...we havent seen all the spinners in the world..only the ones that are really promoted. this
defeats the purpose of the world cup and the world tournament.
officially kth is #1 seed. eriror #2...etc.
maybe if you rename the topic as who do you think will be the #1 seed in 2009 or something like that. -

impossible to get this done at an international scale without full support from CrAsH and even with his support, will still be very hard
you have to make it extremely simple
for example, have every single community choose one spinner, and thats it
you will still get about a dozen spinners, but you will also get a lot of angry people, considering how many people will be overlooked -

I don't get this. First of all, you've only been spinning for 2 months. I highly doubt anyone will take you as an organizer seriously; I sure don't. Second, that link you provided is the UCPSB Hall of Honor. That means if you want to emulate that, this one will have to be ONLY UPSB. I'm pretty sure kUzU, SEVEN, and KTH aren't members here. Third, I never did like the idea of a Hall of Honor because I didn't really agree that some of the spinners in that UCPSB Hall of Honor 2 should've even been there.
The only Hall of Honors that were done that I can remember were by FPSB, UCPSB, and PDS, and they were all done 2006 and prior. I personally believe it's because there's no "official" committee. Having the public choose isn't exactly a good method either since there's always conflicting opinions. -

Scott and Mhig are good, but I wouldn't count them as one of the world's best. Just an opinion. No offense intended. I agree with Saizen though.
And I'm all for whitefang's idea. Much better than causing a flamefest as people bitch about which spinners deserve to be in the the Hall of Honor. -
