This thread is to help people who are starting out (Like myself). It also helps with the finger pass or just get use to moving the pen around you hand without doing GODLY things to try to teach you. Its pretty simple for anyone who has been doing this for a while.

One: Hold the pen between you pointer and middle finger (Have point away from you)

Two: Move your pointer towards your body and middle finger away so it swings down between your middle and ring finger.

Three: Then bring your middle finger towards you and ring finger away so it swings towards your pointer and middle finger

Four: With your pointer pull the pen so it is between your pointer and middle finger.

Five: Move your pointer away while bring your middle finger towards your body making it swing towards your ring finger which you catch so it is between your middle and ring finger again.

Six: Move your ring finger towards you and your middle finger away so it swings towards your body and back up to the pointer finger.

Seven: Catch with your pointer finger so it is back between your pointer and middle finger.

After I did this a few times it helped me get moving it between my fingers easy so I just need to practice to get a lot of the kinks out so its smooth. I hope this is come help to anyone and if anyone has pointers on how to word things better so it easy to read and understand feel free to post happy.gif

    1) use standard finger notation (t, 1, 2, 3, 4)
    2) pictures would be nice.

You made this sound way more complicated than it should have. I had to re-read it a few times just to understand what the heck you were talking about. What you said could have totally been shortened down to the following:

    pass 12-23 -> pass 23-12 -> pass reverse 12-23 -> pass reverse 23-12

And my personal advice would be to practice a full fingerpass instead of your exercise. Your exercise will increase dexterity of fingers 123 but your pinky (4) will be totally screwed which will only cause you grief in the future when you start doing harder tricks.

edit: corrected trick notation. Thanks sketching tongue.gif

yeah, my 4 used to be screwed up cus i did that... then i did 23-34, my 23 got really good, so then when i was doing finger pass, the 23 was too fast ( 12-23, 23-34 )... so, what the person should do is do the whole trick the finger pass ... but when doing combos such as 34 fingerpass 23, then sonic 23 you CAN learn each trick separated... fingerpass then sonic, or sonic then fingerpass happy.gif

    So...
you're telling people to do Passes and Passes Reverse to strengthen their fingers. dry.gif That's the whole point of Fingerpass being a Fundamental. rolleyes.gif

BTW, in the Fingerpass thread, I already recommended concentrating on doing Passes using 3 fingers at a time if you are having problems with a weak finger. I like to think that most new spinners realise this themselves.

@K4S & Zombo: another one of my kickass youtube videos (tongue.gif) shows the exaggerated finger motion that he is talking about...

@K4S: Fingerpass uses all 4 fingers, and ends in the same place as it starts. Fingerpass 12-23 makes no sense. I'm guessing that you just meant to put Pass and Pass Reverse.
