Hand Care / Problem of Biting Fingers

A couple month ago, I was in a very stressful situation. As a stress reliever, I started biting my fingers (fingers, not nails). The situation was taken care of but the finger biting became a habit. My middle knuckle on my 1st and 2nd fingers are very red and calloused. I don't know if they'll heal back. The joints are also very swollen. Aside from that, the surface of some of my other fingers are rough, which makes me want to bite them more.I look at them every time I spin. I see a pair of gnarled, torn up hands. I wish they were smooth again. Does anyone have any tips to stop biting my fingers?
Thank you very much. -

wolf on some lotion every 12 hours or so.
I used to bite my nails, but eventually i started doing other things, it had my mind focussed on keeping my hands busy, so i wouldnt be bored and do those kind of things :> -

Yes, actually, I started pen spinning as something to do with my hands to stop biting. I'm glad for that. I love pen spinning.
Thanks for the lotion tip. -
