Hand Care / Stuck Fingers

I woke up yesterday and my left ring finger was stuck in a 45 degree angle. I had NO power over it. All my other fingers worked fine. After about five minutes, I got control of it again. So I ask you guys, does this ever happen to you?.

Well, this sorta happened to me, because I sleep with one hand under my pillow.. my finger was touching my palm all night, and my other fingers were all straight. When I woke up my hand was asleep and my finger was stiff.
I guess if your hand was like mine all night then this would happen.. other than that idk. -

It got locked in place. It happens with fingers and toes.

I've had that happen to my toes, but not my fingers. I don't know why it happens, though.

how often does that happen? if it was in a 45 degree, you must have slept on it bent. i'd wake up with weak fingers but never have "no power" over it. it does happen to my neck though, when i sleep all twisted. -

(First post.. sorry if I'm disobeying any forum rules)
i think your finger might just be having pins and needles... or the blood flow is completely gone and so you can't move it... -

@Mushyrulez, welcome to UPSB!
yeah, that's happened to me before, if I am holding something small down with a good amount of force and one finger it can get locked for a few seconds. yeah, it's normal -

Thanks MrGuy!
as he said nate, it's perfectly normal (although i never had it happen with my fingers before). However i recommend shaking your hands a lot if that ever happens again. -

... a few days ago, while I was sleeping, I suddenly woke up in the middle of the night and was like erh... 30% awoke. And I found my fingers unmovable. Yes, I really can't moved it. Not a single bit and yea, I got frightened a lil' and went back to sleep and the next morning it's fine again. (It's not a dream, I'm sure)
