ive just started to spin with my left hand for the first time today.. suprisingly i actually could do most of the fundemental. so i just wanted to know how many people can spin with both hands. and i mean well as in like over 80% of your right hand's spinning level.

and this gave me an idea.. how cool would it be if you could write with both hands..? anybody can do it? any tips?

I started writing with my non dominant hand recently and had a bit of a hard time...I'm practicing it cause I want to be ambidextrous... rolleyes.gif

    now to my post:
All I can think of as a tip for writing with your non dominant hand is to write slowly at first..and maybe guide your non dominant hand...
for pen spinning...i just practice it that's all.

I can write with my left hand, but not very well.
Penspinning wise, my left hand can only do a TA and TA reverse.

Btw, I am a right handed.

    Still working on the writing.

Suck at both. I write as good as my 6 year old bro with my left hand and can do all fundamentals with my left but not any good stuff.

    i can't do either.

my left hand can only do fundys and their reverses. still quite fun to do 2 handed fingerpass though. can't do any combos.

This doesn't really seem like hand care. That aside however...

I can write with both hands and spin with both hands.

    Writing with both hands:
I am naturally right-handed. It took me around 1 year to learn to write with my left hand (simply by occasionally writing with my left hand in college during lessons last year). Now my left hand can write pretty much as neatly as my right (which isn't all that tidy haha), both joined up and none joined up. Tips to do it - Practice writing the alphabet until you have the shapes of the letters solid, and just be confident and just go for writing! At first I learnt to write non-joined, then after about a month, tried to join the letters, and could pretty much do it straight off. The rest of the time was spent tidying the writing, and increasing speed. My right hand is still faster than my left at writing still though. You already know how to write, you just gotta transfer the knowledge over to the other side of your brain.

    Spinning with both hands:
I basically stopped practicing with my right hand about a year ago, and started with my left. You pick up any tricks you know already in your dominant hand very quickly. Again, it's all already learnt, you are just transferring the knowledge, and belief is a big thing. Just be confident 'I can do this in my other hand' rather than saying 'It's too hard to spin in my weaker hand' or something like that. At the moment, my left is better than my right! So yeah, anything is possible.

Edit: Wow, 3 out of 16 who voted can write with both hands? I only ever met one other person in my whole life who could do this laugh.gif

I'm left-handed for writing, but I can spin with both right and left.

What kind of sucks for me is that I started off learning how to spin right-handed , while I should have with my left. So as of right now I'm more dominate in spinning with my right; though it shouldn't pose much of a problem since my left is quickly catching up (which I'll be using mainly after that).

As for writing I can pretty much write every letter slowly no problem... slanted. Just have the neatness issue. I'm not interested in spending time for that though.

I did something similar to you, writing alphabet, practice for sometimes, but its still not tidy at all =x And i give up, haha. But still able to write in a slow speed, maybe a lot faster then those who nv train their left hand(those right handy)

Hmm, maybe I can say, pen spinners who can spin with both hands can write with them too? I hope I can start practicing with 2 hands soon...

I've been trying to learn to write with both hands, but thought it would be to hard so I kinda stopped. Reading your post, it actually seems a reachable thing though smile.gif I'll start practacing again! What I did before was write the alphabet over and over again, and I guess it was kinda getting smoother.

About spinning with both hands, my right hand used to be liek 80% of my left hand skills. Now it has dropped to much less though, since I've improved loads with my main, left, hand, and nothing with my right. Kinda.

Spinning, I'm best with my left hand but I can do some with my right hand. Writing, I'd be screwed if my right hand failed me 'cause I can't write at all with my left.

o.0...you spin with you left, but write with your right...
that's odd, so which one's your dominant hand?

I'm right handed and prefer to PS using that hand, but when I get stuck, I try it on the left hand a couple times and it catches on faster than the right. Never understood why..

I'm right handed, but I can do TA, Backaround, TA Rev, Infinity, Sonic Rise, Inverse Sonic Rise on my left hand. But about the writing: yes, I can write with both hands, but writing with left hand looks like writing of 4 years old child...

I can write with both hands. My right hand is slower then my left still. It took me about six months to get it that far. What I would do is write everything with my right hand in school. Tests took forever at first but they quickly improved. I just started spinning about a week ago and I am making a point of learning with both hands I'll switch after every ten minutes of spinning usually.

My writing is chicken scratch with my right hand; my left-hand writing is sleepy-chicken-on-drugs scratch.

I mainly spin with my right hand, but the funny thing is that when I found this topic, I happened to be using my left hand. (all I can do with my left is a thumbaround and sonic, lol)

Yeah right, I wish I were ambidextrous. (Spl?)

But anyway, I can't write with my left hand, unless you count blocky lettering done in an erratic manner to be writing.
And all my left hand can spin is a 23 Sonic. So awesome. >.<
