I Lol'd?
I think.. I had that before, just stop for a while and let your fingers rest. It's normal when you firstly learning tricks that required some flexibility. Also, is your pen heavy? I recommand you to use pens like 10-14 grams, spinning heavy pens cause pain on your finger, definitely, especially for beginners. -

you're too tense, relax a bit when you do the sonic, it should feel kinda flow-ish

im pretty sure its because you're just starting to get used to pen spinning. your hands aren't used to it yet. just take a break for a little bit.

I think a big mistake with people learning the fundamentals is that they try to hard most of these tricks are easy and don't involve that much stress in your hand (if you just want to do it once and learn it) when you get to more advanced tricks which may involve more stretching like the flush sonic or angels sonic, you may start to feel some pain as you learn it . But for now, just take it easy.
I remember when I first learned the sonic I thought it would take quite a deal of pressure to flip the pen up, but it really isn't a flip its more of a relaxed swing =]. If it starts hurting though take a break for a day and come back to it.
