yeah i started getting spasms from pen spinning, but that also could be because im skinny. its really annnoying. but yeah u better eat something or drink some milk, it also might be because u lack calcium or something like that.

Yeah, I felt that too when I did so much practice. You'd better take some rest, don't do pen spinning for a while...or use a light pen. happy.gif

I would say you most likely need more of something like vitamins like a b c or D and that may help your body recover

    -get well soon

It sounds like it's time for you to take a break happy.gif just take a week off and go back, you'll be surprised at how much improvement has occurred from just staopping for a while.

Either get yourself an F-3000 to spin or take a one week break.

    I don't see why.

Spinning heavy pens when starting out creates a dependency of sorts and its annoying to go back and perfect things you should have a long time ago. Its a bad idea because then he runs the risk of not being a well rounded spinner in the basics.

I wouldn't say its a really bad idea, but not something I would recommend.

I've been spinning for 2 and a half years now...
and seeing other 2 year collabs and stuff makes me realize how much I lost out on things
I made my first mod with 2 years of experience
I just spun a papermate grip for the whole time
I have the skill of a... person with about 7-12 months experience...
now I've started making mods and found out I do my best with a bictory or ballsign rather than an mx... due to my weak hands

    I think I'm pretty screwed now bangHead.gif

Really? I'm the opposite. I can't spin a bictory or ballsign cause its too light. But I have weak hands too... wtf.

Weak hands are good. It makes it easier to spin light mods, and when you do start to spin heavy mods you can do so much more smoothly. I believe bonkura had weak hands at first, and he spun light mods for like 5 years... So I definitely wouldn't say you're screwed.

i dont think strength of fingers really detemines spinning.. unless ur using a heavy mod..

Take breaks when that happens, i have a hand exerciser and it helps to get stronger fingers because it has individual springs for each finger.

pen spinning involves the muscles behind and on the sides of your fingers. there is no excersize machine for them and thats why you cant just go into pen spinning as a body builder and dominate.

those muscles are far smaller and more intricate than the ones you use to grip with, and take longer to master since were not wired to use them as much as the gripping muscles in our fingers. I.E try pushing against a wall with the back of your fingers, then with the front, where you hold stuff. alot weaker in the back, isn't it? Hell, it's even weaker on the sides of the fingers.

of course, that can change with practice. thats why pen spinning is so great at increasing your dexterity... its all about the muscle mastery and finger independence..

    agree with oats here...
mainly cuz we dont use those muscles normally people who "body-build" and ppl who dont are basically on a level playing field.
and i guess it just takes a whole bunch of time and practice...
as for the weak hands part, i also get tired quickly if im spinning something heavy, but hey it takes practice, hopefully ill get better? tongue.gif
