    1) put your hands shoulder high, palms facing out, splay your fingers (stretch them sideways) as far as you can,(incl thumb), hold for 5 sec, then relax. repeat 5 times

    2) same position (hands shoulder high, palms out), bend your fingers forward, (thumbs remain still), (like a wave), bend them as far forward as you can without pain, hold 5 sec, relax. repeat 5x

    3) wiggle your fingers and thumb (as if scrunching something), slowly and with deliberate stretch. Continue for 5 sec, relax and repeat 5x
Do these exercises whenever you think of them (as often as possible)
Apply alternate hot and cold compresses for any inflammation (if you have). 10 min warm, 10 min cold
Ibuprofen for any pain or inflamation before bed should help as well.

Keep your fingers as nimble as possible,

Try doing this until you can do it to each finger without moving the rest of your hand.
It should improve finger independence and speed over time.
    ...maybe.

I also use tape when training specific fingers... that way I can isolate other fingers like when you jsut want to train a specific muscle so it's stronger or doesn't curl in while the other finger curls in? I tape a figner tot he rest of my hand and then I can practice moving for instance my pink freely =].

Taping your fingers definitely helps with finger independence, however, it's only to a certain extent.

I practice sonic variations, sonic clips, inv sonics and flush sonic all improved my finger independence significantly. Also you learn something directly useful for spinning

yea this method is great for keeping your fingers more nimble but i cant seem to find a simple/good way to make my fingers bend back more for a trick liek palmspin, iv been doing the bending your fingers back thing but it doesnt seem to be effective

I just relentlessly practice the trick that i need to be more flexible for. It gets better and better every day. Took me a week to get my fingers flexible enough to do an inverse sonic 34.

those finger exercises are awesome i can feel my fingers are extremely nimble after the first 3 however my grip seems to have weaken due to my minwoo mod flying out of my fingers with the first trick but my grip came back and the exercise proves to be very effective however i still dont see a way to improve you fingers ability to bend back for a palmspin besides constantly bending you fingers back

Just curious, wondering if cracking ur knuckles will make them more flexible?
and now that i think about it, as long as u stretch ur fingers, it doesnt quite matter how exactly u do it...

For a few different reasons (mostly smoother/better looking RingBaks and Inverse Sonics) I've been trying to get my ring finger to be more flexible/independent. Basically what I've done is put my hand in a fist and stretch my ring finger out while still keeping my hand in a fist (that one hurts), or open my hand and stretch my ring finger back without moving my other fingers. Sometimes I also place my hand palm down flat on a table and lift my ring finger off the table as far as I can, and do a few reps. I have done this only on my left (dominant) hand, and I notice that I can lift my left ring finger about twice as far as my right. This would indicate that one or more of the exercises/stretches I've been doing has worked. The thing is, it may be that my left hand is just more flexible because it's my dominant hand. Has anybody here tried any of these? Any success?
