Okay, was just waching the news and they where talking about arthritis.
they said that if your ring finger was longer than your index finger, you have an easier chance of getting knee arthritis.

    what do you think?

    discuss!

    BTW: britney is an idiot.

my rign finger is longer than my index ohmy.gif

but i doubt that this is true cause it just doesn't make sense at all that if one finger is long than the other, than you'll have problems in your knee

i know that if you mess up certain parts of your body, like your intestines, then you could get ache on the forehead, but that's after you mess something up

the length of your fingers shouldn't increase the chance of arthritis in your knee cause there's no connection and you were born that way

So what is this going to do with Arthritis?

    To nolan:

From what I know Arthritis only comes when over usage of your joints and the lubricant in between is used up. And hence you will have pain in between your joints, that's Arthritis.

YOU ALL GOT SCAMMED. ALL GUYS' RING FINGERS SHOULD BE LONGER THAN THEIR INDEX UNLESS THEY HAVE A SHORTAGE OF TESTESTERONE. some guy did a research and found that the ratio of the length is proportionate to the amount of testosterone in your body. longer ring when compared to index means more testosterone.

    EXACTLY! (testosterone though, not testestrone)

testosterone is also a common measure of your competitiveness, so i suppose that if you are more competitive you have a greater chance of working more, and hence, getting knee arthritis?

check to see if your index is longer or your ring finger. i read that while in your mothers womb if you got a longer ring than index means that you got more testorone (spell check?) so if your ring finger is longer, means your good at math, building things and music. (they failed to mention pen spinning)

uhhhhh oops didn't see that someone already mentioned this... sry

    To nolan:

From what I know Arthritis only comes when over usage of your joints and the lubricant in between is used up. And hence you will have pain in between your joints, that's Arthritis.

From what I learned in biology Arthritis is caused by certain cells (tcells or something, I can`t remember exactly) which go crazy and see something in your bones as "bad" so they start attacking it, eating away at it O:.

I know wikipedia isn`t the most reliable source but the information is decent enough.
Wikipedia: There are different forms of arthritis; each has a different cause. The most common form of arthritis, osteoarthritis (degenerative joint disease) is a result of trauma to the joint, infection of the joint, or age. Emerging evidence suggests that abnormal anatomy might contribute to the early development of osteoarthritis. Other arthritis forms are rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis, autoimmune diseases in which the body attacks itself. Septic arthritis is caused by joint infection. Gouty arthritis is caused by deposition of uric acid crystals in the joint, causing inflammation. There is also an uncommon form of gout caused by the formation of rhomboid crystals of calcium pyrophosphate. This gout is known as pseudogout.

At sadi: if that`s the case then why is this more common in women huh.gif. I`d imagine males are much more competitive and work out more thus it should be more common in males=P.

Anyways I highly doubt that one finger being longer than another has anything to do with anything huh.gif. It`s probably just a coincidence in my opinion=P.

out of curiosity, do you think penspinning causes arthritis?
