i dont even hold the pen that hard, it doesnt hurt and i have a callus on my right middle finger on the left side of the top joint. Its probably from me practicing charge normal all the time.
btw i still suck at it, 2 spins at most and i can only get initial push from using the thumb flap -

most people don't get calluses, so yes, you're practicing charge too much. That's the only way i can imagine they'd show up there

What kind of mod are you using? That might have something to do with it...

I've got a writing blister cos I'm left handed and my grip is weird
Apart from that, I don't really have any callouses unless if I practice like mad. -

I think that the calluses are from writing not from spinning. I get those in the same place if I write with an ungriped pencil too much.

I pen spin adamantly, and I like to do a lot of tricks involving the 23 slot, so I've developed one on the left side (looking down at my right hand) on my ring finger.

what do you use to spin? cuz you shouldnt have to practice charge that much, its a fundemental, shouldnt take more then like a week to learn, also, you might get that from writing, i have a callus from writing -

now that i reread your post
maybe its cause you don't hold the pen hard
so the pen when you write it moves up and down and rubs cause when you grip hard it won't rub but if you hold it loose it will rub up and down and cause calluses? -

i dont think i ever heard of anyone getting calluses from penspinning...
i only get them once in a while if i practice cello a lot XD -

Yeah, that's a pretty accurate description of how the callouses appear.
I used to have a really bad writing form and it used to hurt a lot. Now that I've improved my writing grip, the blister stayed there like a scar.
Other than that, it doesn't really interfere with my pen spinning. -

I haven't gotten calluses my self, but I remember my dad telling me several years ago a good way to make them dissapear was to take a small needle or a pencil and gently run it around the callus for a bit each day. I don't know how this is supposed to work but you might want to try it. I doubt this works but if it does I would like to know.

yeha...i have 2 calluses fom psing..
i was wondering if anyone else any o.O
when i started learning ta rev...i got one on my index knuckle
and now i'm starting to get one on my thmub's side fom leiguns
and before...when i did leigun..if i did them for 2days...i would get a cut there and i would have to wait a week before i could do them again...but now i guess i dont have to now that i'm getting a callus there
its kind of a good thing
if i did ta revs...and when i started bleeding..if i stopped...i probably wouldnt have gotten a callus..but i'd be more likely to get a wound tehre again... -

.. how the hell do you start bleeding from ta revs?
and where do you bleed from leiguns.... -
Date: Mon, Apr 7 2008 05:28:30
well cuz i started learning leiguns with an ungripped bictory...and the broken clip isnt filed or smoothed in any way...so with the pressure built up..when it was released..the sharp broken clip had a good chance of hitting teh side of my thumb and it cut there many times
as for ta revs...i pushed too hard i guess.. -

Are calluses made by just using a part of ur finger too much? It's a build up of skin right?

I have one on my 2 from 23-23 charges but it's nothing to worry about.
