hey, i was wondering, does playing stepmania on a computer help your fingers? cuz u move your fingers alot.

Like pen spinning the repetitive finger movements are more likely to speed up the development of carpal tunnel syndrome rather than "help" your fingers long term. But stepmania, piano etc will all warm up your hands for spinning.

Pen spinning can cause carpal tunnel syndrome? Has any one had this happen, No matter the case I am still going to keep on spinning.

If you did it for years and years and years and years im sure it would eventually affect you...you're more likely to develop carpal tunnel from your computer keyboard than penspinning. But if you look at how carpal tunnel syndrome develops and then look at penspinning you can see that it's not really helping your hand haha. Short term, pen spinning will increase flexibility and dexterity.

You said you had RSI Eriror. I thoght once you got that kind of thing you had it for life. So does CTS go away by itself, how long does it take to recover?

Sorry Eriror, I don't understand, what is the other way around. Would you mind clarifying. Are RSI type injuries permanent or not?
