Anyone play fighting games to strengthen your fingers? Talking about regular traditional FG on a stick. I play all the old school fighters and use all 5 of my fingers to hit buttons.
Normal people use 3 I think. Heh, not sure if PS helped my FG or the other way around. -

It probably helps a little...playing piano/guitar probably helps more though.

Yeah, playing guitar gets crazy. I saw one guy move his fingers like a penspinner.
I'm guessin the penspinning helped my FG. 5 fingers=win.
By the way. Which game? -

First time posting at UPSB v3 and this thing looks really weird...
Anyways back on topic:
I want to get into playing guitar considering that I have two in my house that no one plays...
Does anyone play fighting games for competitive play? What I mean is like trying to learn all the advanced techniques and getting really into the game. I know Flashy does...
I'm not sure if pen spinning helped me play with a joystick better because it feels like the way I play with the joystick is how I've always played with it.
Please no stupid jokes about joysticks... I beg of you! -

Yeah I used to be into that. A lot of KOF and Capcom VS games. But I'm more into the emulation scene.
Never joined any competitions or anything, just played with a few friends at the arcades. -

Playing guitar really helps with pen spinning. I find that immediately after you finish a song (I like Under the Bridge by the RHCP) you can really work a fingerpass.

Pressing buttons won't help your fingers because there is not enough resistance.

I play drums using mostly my fingers and it really helps strengthen them especially if you do it fast.
