Hand Care / Annoying thumb in the way
-
Date: Tue, Jul 8 2008 17:12:02
Whenever I'm doing stuff that don't require the thumb whatsoever, I like to keep the thumb out of the way, waaaay off to the side. But it doesn't like to do that, it likes to keep coming back in and whenever I'm doing something like the double charge for example, the pen will keep hitting the thumb... And I'll be trying to hard to keep the thumb over, but it will not listen...
How to I keep the thumb in it's place? -

LMAO.
And on a different note, tape a popsicle stick to your thumb and run the stick down your wrist to keep it from moving too much. -

You could always cut it off, but I don't know how you would do a TA afterward.

Ya know. That was my exact first solution but I ran into that very same problem of not being able to do thumb related tricks which are actually pretty cool...
If I didn't need to do those I would've just cut it off, no big deal. -

this problem goes away with practice, don't worry about it, when you get comfortable you wont wory about the thumb so much

Tape it to your leg.
I find that if a finger is in the way, its begging for exercise. I was getting upset that most of my tricks involved the index, middle and thumb. So i decided that rather be upset about it, i would try as hard as possible to master as many tricks with my best 3 fingers that i could. Pinkies are overrated anyhow.

I have the same problem. It happens because you adjust your pen for the next trick. It could be way off in the edge or something like that. Don't worry, it goes with practice.

Teflon works better.
